About the Owner – Amelia Pratka
Hi, I’m Amelia Pratka — founder of Texas Roof Masters Tyler. I started this company to bring honesty, grit, and real advocacy back to the roofing industry. After working in insurance and watching too many homeowners get left behind after storms, I knew East Texans needed someone who understood how the system works — and who wouldn’t back down when it mattered most.
I’m a proud Tyler native, a single mom, and someone who believes in doing the job right the first time. I earned my psychology degree from the University of Texas at Tyler, Class of 2020, after attending Tyler Junior College, and spent my college years working in insurance sales at State Farm. That experience gave me the tools to help homeowners navigate complex claims — and fight for every dollar they’re owed.
Running a business, raising a son, and overcoming personal health challenges has taught me how to show up — no matter what. That mindset is at the heart of everything we do at Texas Roof Masters Tyler. From inspecting storm damage and training new team members to advocating for full coverage on your claim, I take pride in being hands-on, detail-oriented, and relentless when it comes to protecting your home.

Jeff Hooper - Claims Manager
Jeff Hooper is a native of East Texas, originally from San Augustine, Texas. Jeff spent years working in the construction industry. He moved to Louisiana in 2005, following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita's devastation of the coastal communities. Jeff dedicated his time to helping homeowners and business owners repair their lives after the natural disaster. Using his construction experience, he ventured into the insurance industry as an adjuster, working for an insurance company. After working as an independent insurance adjuster for about a year, Jeff left the company due to differing views on company practices. It was common for insurance companies to instruct adjusters to lower estimates by omitting necessary functions for proper repairs. Jeff then joined a public adjuster in Louisiana, who is the only insurance professional solely dedicated to the homeowners' interests. He worked diligently to ensure policyholders received everything they were owed.
After moving back to East Texas, Jeff sought to effectively utilize his training in the insurance field. He is now working with Texas Roof Masters of Tyler, helping policyholders get repairs to their homes and businesses paid for by their insurance company. Jeff ensures that professional repairs are carried out, with the majority of costs covered by the insurance company. Even if you have filed a claim and been denied, if it has been less than two years since the date of the claim, it can be reopened. If you had a claim in the last two years that you believe was underpaid, it can be reopened and possibly increase your settlement.
